The distinctive features of Ishizuka Mugi Pork are water and barley.Ishizuka pork is produced at the foot of Mt. Aitaka in Numazu City, Shizuoka Prefecture.Having access to water is of utmost importance to pigs.Furthermore, the large amount of wheat added to the feed means that the meat contains a lot of unsaturated fatty acids (oleic acid), resulting in pork with a sweet, fragrant fat.
